Solve Method "Group of Cells"

For a comprehensive reading, please refer to Sudoku Grid definitions.

In a line, if there are 2 cells which can only have the 2 same numbers, so these 2 numbers can not be on the other cells of the line. This can be expanded on at groups of 3 to 7 numbers, corresponding respectively to 3 to 7 cells.

This method begin to be complex with group of more than 3 numbers. It is selectable as Sudoku1 automatic solve methods in the Method panel by a click on Group XXX et selecting the number of cells accepted. Select all groups for a full solve.

Here are some simple examples.

Example 1 : In a line, if 2 cells have 2 possible values identical, so the missing cell is easily found.

Numbers 4 and 5 are the only one possible in the 2 cells of the line. So the 6 is in the empty cell.

2 : In a line, if 3 cells have 3 possible values identical, so the missing cell is easily found.

Numbers 2, 4 and 5 are the only one possible in the 3 cells of the line. So the 6 is in the empty cell.
